Will I Keep My Heated Wheel, Buttons and Paddles?
People worry that a custom wheel means giving up the things they use every day. Mostly it doesn't. Here is what carries over and what needs a decision from you.
Your buttons and controls
Cruise control, volume, phone, voice, drive mode — all of it stays. We rebuild around your original core, and the switchgear returns to the same housings it came out of. Nothing is rewired and nothing is emulated.
If you want the plastic around those buttons finished in carbon instead of factory black, that is the button trim option on the build. It changes how the housings look, not how they work.
Heated wheels
If your car came with a heated steering wheel, we can keep that function working through the rebuild. It is an option on the build rather than the default, because it takes extra work to preserve the element under the new leather.
The important part: we can only keep it if your car already has it. We cannot add a heated wheel to a car that never had one. If you are unsure, check whether there is a heated wheel button in your cabin or on your climate screen.
Paddle shifters
Two separate things get confused here.
If your car already has paddles, they come back. If your car does not have paddles, we can add carbon paddle shifters as an option — but on most vehicles these are extended covers over existing paddles or a fitted set, not a new gearbox function. A car with no paddle-shift capability from the factory does not gain one from a wheel.

What to tell us when you order
- Year, make and model — every wheel is built for one specific car
- Whether your wheel is currently heated
- Whether you currently have paddles
- Whether your wheel has any trim or badge you want kept
Getting these right up front is what keeps a build on schedule. Lead time is five to six weeks because the wheel is made for your car, not pulled from stock.
