Will It Fit My Car? How Steering Wheel Fitment Works

The most common message we get is three words long: will it fit? Here is how fitment actually works on a custom wheel, which is different from how it works on most car parts.

We build on your car's own wheel design

We are not making a universal wheel with an adapter. Each wheel is built to the design of a specific vehicle's factory wheel — same core, same mounting, same airbag housing, same switch positions. That is why the listings are named by year range and model rather than by size.

The practical consequence: if we list a wheel for your model and year range, it fits, and it fits without a hub adapter or any modification to the column.

Why year ranges matter more than model

Manufacturers change wheel design mid-generation, often without changing the car's name. A 2015 and a 2019 of the same model can take different wheels because the airbag housing or the switch layout changed.

Always match the year range in the listing, not just the model name. If your year sits on a boundary, message us before ordering with your VIN and we will confirm.

What we need from you

  • Year, make and model
  • Trim, if your model has meaningfully different interiors across trims
  • Whether your current wheel is heated
  • Whether you currently have paddle shifters
  • A photo of your current wheel — this settles most questions in one message

That last one is worth doing every time. A photo tells us the switch layout, the airbag cover shape and whether you have paddles, faster than any description.

If your car is not listed, ask. We build wheels that are not on the site more often than you would think.

Lead time

Five to six weeks from order, because the wheel is made after you order it. If you need something sooner, check the ready-to-ship wheels in the collection — those are already built.
